In Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Waddle Dees can be found trapped in gold cages, which Kirby can break open. It is not yet known if they appear as enemies.
In Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Waddle Dees can be found trapped in cages by the Beast Pack, and Kirby's primary objective is to free them. Each regular stage appears to have a gold cage containing three Waddle Dees as its endpoint, while many other silver cages containing single Waddle Dees can be found along the way. As Waddle Dees are rescued, they populate the Waddle Dee Town, and the more Kirby rescues, the bigger and more complex the town becomes. Notably, Waddle Dees in this game come in a variety of fur colors, ranging from deep red to pale yellow and every shade in-between.

Additionally, there are two more distinguished Waddle Dees to note. The first is Bandana Waddle Dee, who serves as the Player 2 character. The second is Wise Waddle Dee, who can be found in town and offers Kirby information.
