| |In this volume, Sword Knight and Blade Knight come with Meta Knight to the planet [[Chiffon Star]] to search for [[Princess Marona]], who went missing. They find out that the princess was manipulated by [[Baron Gallic]], a villain that Meta Knight and his henchmen had dealt with in the past. Sword and Blade remember that Baron Gallic had tried to control them with his [[Malice Stone]] to steal Meta Knight's treasured sword [[Galaxia]] in the past, but Meta Knight had stopped him. When the group confronts Baron Gallic, [[Kirby (novel character)|Kirby]] inhales Sword Knight for the [[Sword]] ability and nearly wins, but the baron puts Blade Knight under the control of his stone, and they escape to his lair. When the group sets out for Gallic's lair, Sword Knight calmly lets Kirby inhale him for the Sword ability again. Kirby loses against the brainwashed Blade Knight, and Sword Knight gets knocked out of him. Sword Knight falls under the stone's spell too, but Kirby quickly inhales the two knights so Meta Knight can go after Baron Gallic. After Baron Gallic's defeat, Sword and Blade come back to their senses, and they reunite with Meta Knight.

| |In this volume, Sword Knight is sent by Meta Knight to gather intel about [[Dedede's Cake Royale]]. He encounters Kirby and [[Waddle Dee (novel character)|Waddle Dee]] and tells them about his mission. Waddle Dee gives him a leaflet about the event. After reading it, he thinks that Meta Knight would be pleased to hear that the prize is a cake. Kirby asks Sword Knight if he wants to be his Copy Ability, and even when Sword Knight refuses, Kirby inhales him and gets the [[Sword]] ability. By the time Meta Knight arrives to the Cake Royale to test his strength, he wonders on where Sword Knight went, not knowing that he got inhaled. Near the end of the Cake Royale, Kirby drops the Sword ability after a powerful attack by [[King Dedede (novel character)|King Dedede]], releasing Sword Knight. Kirby is about to inhale him again, but Sword Knight flees to the stands. Meta Knight tells Kirby that inhaling him again won't do any good, and Kirby agrees, relieving Sword Knight.
