:::Personaly, I think everyone should have a sandbox on a subpage of their user pages. Not make an entire page for it that doesn't provide any info on kirby. Imagine a first time visiter comes to this site, presses random pages and ends up here. They will immediatly run off without a second thought. -- [[User:Ember Incubus|կրակ]] ([[User Talk:Ember Incubus|խոսել]]) -- 21:59, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

::::The random function only shows on the pages in the main namespace when clicked on in the toolbar. To make it include another, you have to add /<namespace name> to it. Besides, this sandbox is public, while the user sandboxes are more private. It makes sense to have it. A group of users can work on one test in this sandbox, while in user sandboxes, it appears more that the one user works on it by themself. :::::This is old, I know, but I like to respond anyways for future references.  As you can see, we are not stopping users from creating their own personal sandbox.  If such a sandbox was not allowed, all of you would have known by now.  The community sandbox was made for several reasons, with the main reason being to help new editors start out.  A new editor needs somewhere where he/she can edit freely and can make as many mistakes as he/she would like without harsh criticism.  Both public and private sandboxes achieve this, but it is unlikely that a new editor will make a private sandbox if he/she has no knowledge of wiki coding, namespaces, etc.  If the editor in question feels he/she wants to make a private sandbox, once again, there is nothing stopping him/her.  There are no threatening problems with either sandbox, so there is really no reason to delete it if that was on your mind.  Each has their own pros and cons, but their purpose is just the same and just as important.  {{:User:Austin/sig}} 17:21, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
