'''Normal''' refers to [[Kirby]]'s regular state when he has no [[Copy Ability]] copied, and can either copy one or use his [[Inhale]] to inhale [[Enemy|enemies]] and spit them out as [[Star Bullet]]s, although not every appearance of Normal allows Kirby to do both of these actions. It is not exactly a Copy Ability by definition, but it is categorized as one in [[Kirby Portal]], and occasionally at least partly treated as one in some games.

Normal is Kirby's default state in all games it appears in, and as such is the state Kirby has whenever a game is started, and also when Kirby comes back after losing a life in most situations. In games where Normal allows Kirby to copy abilities, Normal is replaced with the ability copied, and when that ability is lost or dropped, Kirby reverts to Normal. Some games also have other means of applying the Normal state to Kirby.
