When it comes to weapon/item-based abilities, Kirby is always portrayed as holding the weapon in question with his right hand (except Bell, where both hands are filled). In earlier games, particularly those that used 2-D sprites, Kirby could be seen using either hand, but this is only really due to the sprite being flipped based on which direction Kirby is facing.
