In [[Kirby's Dream Land 2]], Ice is once again a simple move which does not change Kirby's appearance. (due to the game's monochrome nature) If Kirby is alone, using Ice functions identically to the way it did in Kirby's Adventure, but if partnered up with one of his animal friends, the move can change its pattern depending on which friend is with him. With [[Rick]], the move functions like an ice shield, protecting on all sides. With [[Coo]], Kirby can breathe ice in a 180 degree area beneath him. With [[Kine]], the move is similar in function to Rick's, but it can be used while moving, and it causes him to freeze over if held for too long.
