'''Sheepwrecked''' is the 43rd (40th in the 4Kids broadcast) episode of the ''[[Kirby: Right Back at Ya!]]'' series. In this episode, the sheep of [[Dream Land (anime)|Dream Land]] begin to cause trouble when [[Amon|one of them]] becomes aggressive and directs them to attack [[Kirby (anime character)|Kirby]]. Seeing this, [[Tiff]] initially tries to warn the people of [[Cappy Town]], but they do not believe her. Eventually, the sheep prove Tiff right by breaking free of their captivity and ravaging the countryside like wolves, forcing the [[Cappy (anime)|Cappies]] to take refuge in [[Castle Dedede]] as [[King Dedede (anime character)|King Dedede]] plans to lure the sheep in to make them all into lamb chops. The initial aggressive sheep reveals that - in addition to being able to speak - it can also transform into a [[monster]], and attempts to subjugate the Cappies under a new dominion. After booting King Dedede out of the castle for his treachery, the monster sheep battles momentarily with [[Needle]] Kirby, but is discouraged when he realizes the other sheep will not follow him after they are called back by the shepherd's horn. Tiff and Kirby come to terms with the monster sheep, and he leaves Dream Land to forge his own destiny.

==Plot synopsis==

The episode begins out in the countryside as [[Tiff]] finishes reading a [[Cappy (anime)|Cappy]] version of the fable of ''[[wikipedia:The Boy Who Cried Wolf|The Boy Who Cried Wolf]]'' to the Cappy children. She tries to impart the moral of the fable to them, but they are more interested in thinking about the wolf and how they would trap it. Ultimately, she lets them leave after claiming there are no wolves in [[Dream Land (anime)|Dream Land]]. Shortly after, [[Kirby (anime character)|Kirby]] comes into view and Tiff greets him when a nearby sheep becomes strangely aggressive and rams Kirby, sending him flying. Later on, Tiff tries to tell [[Chief Bookem]] about the incident but - seeing a passive flock of sheep and Kirby resting with them - he takes it as a joke and leaves. As Kirby plays with the sheep, Tiff tries to identify which of them had been aggressive. Without warning, all of the sheep turn hostile and chase after Kirby, knocking him around until he falls unconscious on the ground.

This time, Tiff brings many more of the townsfolk over and tells them about the sudden turn in the flock's mood, but they are still incredulous as they observe the docile-looking herd and Kirby sleeping peacefully at the spot where he landed earlier. After [[Mayor Len Blustergas|Mayor Len]] arrives and laughs off her accusation, the town follows suit and goes home after delivering several sheep-related jokes. Tiff grows upset and compares her situation to the fable she read earlier, then heads off herself. Kirby wakes up when the shepherd appears to get the sheep moving, and it is then revealed that [[King Dedede (anime character)|King Dedede]] and [[Escargoon]] are monitoring the sheep from [[Castle Dedede]]. They get the idea to abduct one of the sheep and make a meal of it using their new barbecue. That night, Tiff tries to tell her family about the incident, but they also do not believe her, insisting that sheep are harmless and that she must have been imagining it. While they talk, [[Channel DDD]] News turns on, and Escargoon fronts a hit-piece about how Tiff falsely accused the sheep of attacking Kirby, including testimony from Bookem, Len, and even Kirby himself. Seeing this, Tiff resolves to vindicate herself by finding and apprehending the initial aggressive sheep.

The next day, Tiff heads out to the sheep pens and examines each sheep closely using her magnifying glass as she is watched by Tuff and Kirby up close and King Dedede and Escargoon from afar. Tiff finishes examining half of the sheep when the shepherd rallies them, mixing up the herd and causing Tiff to lose her progress. At that moment, the sheep turn hostile again and chase the shepherd down, and then run for the hills. Mayor Len appears demanding answers and is about to fire his shepherd, but Tiff, Tuff, and Kirby confirm what happened and offer to track the sheep down. Meanwhile, at a far-off location in the countryside, the [[Amon|initial aggressive sheep]] addresses the flock, speaking to them and calling for a revolution. To condition the sheep for the fight, he calls for them to howl like wolves from then on, and then sends them out to cause havoc across the countryside and in town. With this done, Amon addresses them again, this time announcing that they will soon conquer the whole world, and then the entire universe. Tiff, Tuff, and Kirby observe from behind a corner as the sheep are directed toward the castle to complete their conquest of Dream Land.

Tiff, Tuff, and Kirby run ahead of the sheep to warn the Cappies who have taken refuge at the castle during the attack that the herd is headed their way. Seeing the arriving stampede, King Dedede is delighted, thinking he will apprehend all the sheep and turn them into dinner. The Cappies make it across the drawbridge and they start to raise it, but the sheep manage to leap onto the edge of the rising bridge and create a body-bridge to let the rest of the herd in, and they proceed to tear up the castle. The sheep soon have all of the Cappies cornered in the courtyard, and they admit to each-other that Tiff was right all along. As [[Meta Knight (anime character)|Meta Knight]] and his apprentices observe cautiously from a balcony above, the leader sheep berates the trapped Cappies down below and humiliates them by forcing them to "baa" meekly. Meanwhile, Tiff, Tuff, Kirby, and the shepherd are captured and thrown in with the rest of the baaing crowd. Tiff tries to dissuade the rest of the sheep from their new master, but the leader sheep recounts his experience being nearly captured and eaten by King Dedede, and from there, fleeing far into the wilderness until a bolt of lightning struck him and gave him the power of speech and cunning. Hearing this story, Tiff tries to redirect the sheep's anger toward King Dedede for his deed, but the crafty King steps forward and offers a mock apology in order to lure the sheep to their slaughter. The leader sheep demands that King Dedede and the rest baa to show their submission, and King Dedede obliges, but Tiff and Kirby refuse. The leader sheep, outraged at this defiance, transforms into a [[monster]] to attack them.

The monster sheep leaps down and attacks Kirby by shooting its horns at him. King Dedede and Escargoon watch from cover and comment that they are in a win-win situation for once, as either Kirby or the sheep being defeated would be good news for them. However, the monster sheep inadvertently crashes through a door and reveals an area where the Waddle Dees were prepared to slaughter some of his brethren. The monster sheep takes his revenge by ramming King Dedede and Escargoon out of the castle. He then turns to attack Kirby again and shoots his horns, but Kirby [[inhale]]s them and gains the [[Needle]] [[Copy Ability]]. Needle Kirby tries to fight back, but his needles are no match for the monster sheep's horns. As he and the other sheep prepare to mow Kirby down, Tiff assists by grabbing the shepherd's horn and blowing it, prompting the normal sheep to return to their normal docile state. The monster sheep tries to re-rally them, but to no avail. He gives up on them and returns to his normal form, ending the fight. That evening, Tiff, Tuff, and Kirby see the wolf-sheep off, wishing him well as he returns to the wilderness in hopes of finding others like him. The episode ends as he leaves Dream Land with a howl and Kirby watches from atop his house while watching the sunset before he howls, too.

*In the Japanese version, the Cappy kids insist that the wolf is the bad guy in Tiff's story, rather than think of ways to trap it.
*In the Japanese version, [[Sir Ebrum]] compares himself to the sheep by claiming to be a vegetarian. This contradicts earlier episodes where he is seen eating meat.
*In the Japanese version, while the sheep are eating the food at Kawasaki's, Chef Kawasaki comments on whether or not it is cannibalism for the sheep to be eating meat.
*In the Japanese version, Amon speaks much less during his flashback of escaping and being struck by lightning.
*In the Japanese version, Amon claims to have never seen Kirby before when he comes to challenge him at the castle. This flatly contradicts the earlier part of the episode where Amon was the one who rammed Kirby.

*Despite initial claims made in this episode that the sheep are always docile, there are several instances in previous episodes where a sheep attacked someone. One was in [[A Princess in Dis-Dress]], where [[Princess Rona]] saved Kirby from a rampaging sheep, and another is in [[Escar-Gone]], where Escargoon gets rammed by one of the sheep when he antagonizes Mayor Len.
