Foley is an enemy appearing in Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby: Squeak Squad and Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It is a small, yellow creature with a leaf on its head, which acts as a propeller. Foley is a common enemy that usually hovers above Kirby and falls down when he is below it, similarly to the Coconut enemy from Kirby's Adventure. Like Coconuts, Foleys are always blocked if Kirby has the Parasol ability. However, unlike Coconuts, which grant no ability, Foleys give out the Bomb ability. Also unlike those enemies, Foleys are sometimes able to move horizontally, dropping on Kirby if they manage to get above him.

Foley is an enemy which first appeared in Kirby & The Amazing Mirror. It is a small, yellow creature with two leaves on its head, which act as a propeller. Foley is a common enemy that usually hovers above Kirby and falls down when he is below it, similar to a Coconut. Foley yields the Bomb Copy Ability when inhaled and swallowed by Kirby.

Foley can essentially be seen as a living flying bomb, holding in place or moving in a fixed pattern through the air on its propeller. When Kirby passes underneath, Foley will separate from its propeller and drop after a brief pause. If Foley hits Kirby or the floor, it will detonate, defeating itself and dealing damage in a small area. However, Foley will not detonate if it is defeated by any attack (including landing on Kirby's Parasol), unlike Coconuts which detonate regardless. Naturally, if Foley falls into a bottomless pit or into a body of water, it will be unable to detonate, and will be defeated or disappear respectively.

The name 'Foley' may be a reference to the film-making term for creating sound effects for a production, which often includes explosion sounds.

Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
Foley made its first appearance in this game. It is one of the few enemies which can be found in every major area of the Mirror World to a greater or lesser extent. Foley usually holds position in the air until Kirby passes underneath, but it can also be seen moving from side-to-side, and performing other movements in rarer cases. Much like Scarfies in the older titles, if Foley is defeated by any attack that isn't inhaling and swallowing it, it will leave behind a damaging explosion upon losing all of its health.

In Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, Foley can be found in the following rooms:

Kirby: Squeak Squad
Foley appears again in Kirby: Squeak Squad, relatively unchanged from its previous appearance. Here, it can also be found in every major area, though it is more common in places such as Cushy Cloud and Jam Jungle.

When possessed by Ghost Kirby, Foley can be made to fly around and drop to detonate. This makes Foley the only possessable enemy whose attack automatically causes it to be defeated.

In Kirby: Squeak Squad, Foley can be found in the following levels and stages:

Kirby's Return to Dream Land / Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe
Foley makes its debut appearance in 3D in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. Unlike previous games, it is not a very common enemy, not appearing in large numbers until Nutty Noon. It behaves much as before, though it is often found forming blockades that Kirby has to navigate through.

In Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Foley can be found in the following levels and stages:

Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition
Foley appears as an enemy in the New Challenge Stages, serving an identical function to its prior appearance. Kirby has to defeat it before it explodes to earn the points.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe & Kirby: Planet Robobot
Foley returns in these two games, acting much as it did in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, though with the added ability to fly in-between the foreground and background.

Foley also appears as a random Keychain in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, using its sprite from Kirby: Squeak Squad.

In Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Foley can be found in the following levels and stages:

In Kirby: Planet Robobot, Foley can be found in the following levels and stages:

Kirby Battle Royale
In Kirby Battle Royale, there is an unlockable type of headgear for Bomb Kirby based on Foley. It is called the Foley Cap, and it costs 750 Battle Coins.

Foley returns as an enemy in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It displays the same behavior as usual, and once again provides the Bomb ability when swallowed.

In Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Foley can be found in the following stages:
