Often, Extra Modes also have their own final bosses, whether it be a complete unique boss or a variant of the Story Mode's final boss. |Realizing that his ritual has failed after being defeated by Kirby and his friends, Hyness offers himself and The Three Mage-Sisters to the Jamba Heart to revive his dark lord, the Destroyer of Worlds: Void Termina. Luckily, a Friend Platform falls from the sky, and spears of the heart transform the Friend Star into the Star Allies Sparkler. The heroes meet up with Void Termina, who begins attacking them using shockwaves created by his massive body an creating elemental swords, but Kirby fights back by using the Star Allies Sparkler to maneuver around in 3D and shoot the eyes that appear on his body. Eventually, Void Termina's mask falls off, the fallen down body sucking Kirby and friends to expose his interior. The heroes attack the insides while avoiding strange attacks, also freeing Hyness and the mages. After getting launched out, Void Termina forms giant wings and begins using large elemental bows, and shooting lasers from giant crowns. Using the same strategy, the team enters his body again, coming across Void Termina's true form, a purple sphere who begins resembling the faces of Kirby, Dark Matter, and 0², using many familiar attacks like Bound Pound, Black Hole, and Miracle Matter's Needle attack, even brainwashing Kirby's friends. Eventually, everyone is kicked out again, including Void Termina, who begins laser-dueling the Star Allies Sparkler. Desperately, Kirby uses the his power to summon ghostly versions of all of his friends to finally destroy Void Termina. The first four phases of this boss also appear at the end of Infernal Crisis.
<!-- Meta Knight, Francisca, Flamberge, and Hyness are also final bosses of certain The Ultimate Choice difficulties, but I don't think it's necessary to include those since they're just random Story Mode bosses. -->
