Hornhead is a giant beetle and a mid-boss that debuted in Kirby: Triple Deluxe. It will run at Kirby, trying to grab him with its horn, and, if it misses, will fall over and remain stunned for a moment. It provides the Beetle ability when swallowed, and is the first enemy in the game to do so.

Hornhead is a giant rhinoceros beetle-like Mid-Boss with an indigo carapace, four legs with cup-like feet that are larger on the hind legs, and a massive triceratops-like horn for a face with two brown eyes inset. Like an actual beetle, he has wings and can fly, but he tends to stay on the ground most of the time, where he will attempt to ram Kirby or grab him with his horn. Hornhead grants the Beetle Copy Ability when ingested.

Hornhead is capable of flight, but will only fly slowly before launching into another horn attack. All in all, it is a rather easy Mid-Boss to defeat, even in its DX form.
