Rainbow Resort - Stage 6: Difference between revisions

This stage takes place in eight major pieces, each of which resemble levels from ''[[Kirby's Dream Land]]''. The first takes place in a monochrome field resembling [[Green Greens]], with a straightforward path past some basic enemies.

The next area takes place in the woods, past [[Poppy Bros. Jr.]]s riding apples.

From there, Kirby enters a castle representing [[Castle Lololo]] and walks through a dark hall.

Kirby then finds himself in a brighter interior space, where he can pick up a [[1-Up]] and [[Maxim Tomato]] before proceeding.

The door leads to a tropical locale styled after [[Float Islands]], where Kirby will need to proceed past bottomless pools and aquatic foes.

From there, Kirby ventures through a series of narrow underground tunnels past [[Kabu]], [[Gordo]]s and spikes.

Kirby then finds himself up in a cloud area styled after [[Bubbly Clouds]], where he must work his way past [[Scarfy]]s who fly in.

The last area leads to a palace interior and a thin winding tunnel, which open up above to a large starry ascent past enemies who grant [[Copy Ability|Copy Abilities]]. The stage exit can be found on the highest platform.

If Kirby wants to find the [[Big Switch]] here, he must enter the [[moon]].

*Due to the gimmick of this stage, it is the only one whose background graphics do not differ greatly between ''Adventure'' and ''Nightmare in Dream Land''.

**However, the original ''Adventure'' version features monochrome enemies and objects as well. It also monochromatizes the [[Heads-up display|HUD]].

**Additionally, the graphics used in ''Kirby's Adventure'' are actually just monochrome versions of the updated level graphics from ''Adventure'', which do not exactly match the corresponding graphics from ''Dream Land''. This is most noticeable in the Bubbly Clouds segment. In ''Nightmare in Dream Land'', the proper original sprite art is used.

*In the ''Adventure'' version of this stage, the [[Green Greens (theme)|theme music]] is pitched down one note from the original ''Kirby's Dream Land'' version. This shift is not present in the ''Nightmare in Dream Land'' version.
