Tedhaun[Japanese title] is a Mid-Boss that has only appeared in Kirby: Squeak Squad. Tedhaun resembles a stereotypical sheet ghost, but has a single evil eye and wears a purple night cap with a star on it. It is also accompanied by small follower ghosts which can be inhaled and spat to attack their leader. Tedhaun is the only source of the Ghost Copy Ability, other than Mix and the Copy Ability Room.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby: Squeak Squad[edit]

Tedhaun makes its only appearance as an enemy and Mid-Boss in Kirby: Squeak Squad, and cannot be encountered until after the Ghost Medal is completely reassembled, meaning that it is possible for Kirby to completely miss encountering this enemy. Once the Ghost Medal is assembled, Tedhaun replaces various Mid-Bosses in stages.

Unlock Requirement[edit]

Main article: Ghost Medal

Tedhaun does not initially appear in the game. To cause it to show up, Kirby must search for the various parts of the Ghost Medal, a medal that shows Tedhaun on it and whose pieces are found in treasure chests throughout the levels. Once the medal is complete, Tedhaun can be found in each level, replacing one Mid-Boss in each.

Locations[edit]

Tedhaun can be found in the following levels and stages once the Ghost Medal is complete:

Mid-Boss Battle[edit]

Tedhaun sends out three miniature ghosts (called キャパー Kyapā in Japanese) around itself. They explode on contact with Kirby.

Tedhaun attacks in the following ways:

  • Tedhaun orders its miniature ghosts to tackle and blow up Kirby.
  • Tedhaun can grab Kirby, and then order a miniature ghost to tackle and blow up Kirby.

Tedhaun summons new miniature ghosts when the previous ones explode or are defeated by Kirby.

Tedhaun has 140 HP in the game. (For reference, a Star Bullet deals 40 damage.)

Trivia[edit]

  • Tedhaun is the only Mid-Boss who needs to be unlocked in the Kirby series.
  • Its name comes from an anagram of "haunted", with the syllables switched.
