'''Whispy Woods''' (known in shorthand as '''Whispy''' or sometimes '''Wispy''') is an anthropomorphic tree who is most well known as being an early (if not the first) [[boss]] that [[Kirby]] faces in many of his adventures. In his simplest incarnations, he is incapable of moving, and can only attack by dropping [[apple]]s and blowing [[Air Bullet]]s at his pink adversary, but his sheer number of appearances and variants give him a vide variety of additional attacks, and in some cases, allow him to hop around or even run after his opponents. Along with [[Kracko]], [[Lololo & Lalala]], and [[Kabula]], Whispy Woods is one of the most iconic boss characters in the [[Kirby (series)|''Kirby'' series]], having made dozens of appearances since his debut in ''[[Kirby's Dream Land]]'', and also appearing in the ''[[Super Smash Bros. (series)|Super Smash Bros.]]'' series. Whispy Woods can also be seen in many other roles (whether that be as a minor enemy, an inert obstacle, or even an ally), and can sometimes even speak.
