If Kirby gets sucked into its mouth, the player needs to shake the controller or mash the stick to get Kirby out again.


Barbar resembles a giant eel-like creature and can come in various sizes, some of which are truly gigantic. They reside exclusively in the water, embedded in walls, ceilings, floors, or sometimes in pits in water currents, and at regular intervals will lunge outward in an attempt to swallow any passing swimmers.
Barbar first appeared in ''[[Kirby's Return to Dream Land]]'', and has since reappeared in a handful of other 2.5-D [[Kirby (series)|''Kirby'' games]]. It has a few relatives, namely the [[Hypernova]]-inhalable [[Land Barbar]] and the lava-dwelling [[Iron Barbar]].
