'''Whispy Woods''' (known in shorthand as '''Whispy''' or sometimes '''Wispy''') is an anthropomorphic tree who is most well known as being an early (if not the first) [[boss]] that [[Kirby]] faces in many of his adventures. In his simplest incarnations, he is incapable of moving, and can only attack by dropping [[apple]]s and blowing [[Air Bullet]]s at his pink adversary, but his sheer number of appearances and variants give him a vide variety of additional attacks, and in some cases, allow him to hop around or even run after his opponents. Along with [[Kracko]], [[Lololo & Lalala]], and [[Kabula]], Whispy Woods is one of the most iconic boss characters in the [[Kirby (series)|''Kirby'' series]], having made dozens of appearances since his debut in ''[[Kirby's Dream Land]]'', and also appearing in the ''[[Super Smash Bros. (series)|Super Smash Bros.]]'' series. Whispy Woods can also be seen in many other roles (whether that be as a minor enemy, an inert obstacle, or even an ally), and can sometimes even speak. Additionally, there are many other entities throughout the series that are either related to Whispy Woods, inspired by him, or both.
