- This article is about common fire-bubble enemies, and should not be confused with Bohboh or Brobo.
Bobo is an enemy that appears in a small number of Kirby games, debuting in Kirby's Dream Land 3 and making its most recent appearance in Kirby: Canvas Curse. It resembles a sentient, red and yellow flame with a pair of oval, black eyes and two flat, blue or white feet.
A bigger version of them known as Boboo appears in Kirby's Dream Land 3 as a Mid-Boss.
Game appearances[edit]
Kirby's Dream Land 3[edit]
Bobos make their first appearance in Kirby's Dream Land 3, where they are first seen as early as the second stage of Grass Land. Here, three varieties of them exist, which slightly differ in size; whereas the most common type of Bobo is as wide as it is tall, thinner as well as a chubbier specimens may also be encountered. All three types possess a similar behavior.
Regular Bobos behave like Waddle Dees, either slowly strolling in a straight line until they touch a wall or running back and forth within a small area. Thin ones occasionally turn around to walk towards Kirby and do not walk off edges, while chubby ones always walk in a straight line and move at a more sluggish pace than the other types. Certain normal-sized Bobos may also jump, in addition to making a small hop whenever they move off the edge of a platform.
Like most enemies in the game, Bobos are vulnerable to any attack. Inhaling and swallowing them awards Kirby the Burning Copy Ability.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards[edit]
In Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Bobos return as a common enemy type. They are encountered very early in the game, debuting at the beginning of the first stage of Pop Star. While they retain their basic design from their previous appearance, their shoes are a more intense shade of blue and all Bobos in this game are the same size. They also all share a common behavior, running faster than in the previous game and always turning around at the edge of a platform instead of walking off.
Like in Kirby's Dream Land 3, Bobos can once more be destroyed by any attack and possess the Burning ability (known as Burn in this game).
