Red Canyon features five standard stages in addition to the sixth boss stage. Almost without exception, these stages are filled with steep rocky terrain, perilous platforming (including crumbling footholds), plenty of [[bottomless pit]]s and other hazards, cramped cavern passages, and auto-scrolling areas. Each [[Animal Friend]] gets a chance to shine at various points in the level, though Kirby may be better suited to traveling certain areas on his own, to squeeze through tight passages.
 
The [[Rainbow Drop]] can be found in a side chamber in Stage 5. To reach it, Kirby will need to navigate [[Rick]] along a tricky vertical auto-scroller with the appropriate ability in tow.

The fight with this tag-team boss duo takes place on a flat arena. This fight is much the same as in ''[[Kirby's Adventure]]'', but with a few caveats. Firstly, each foe takes 4 [[Star Bullet]]s to defeat, and secondly, the two can perform a special eclipse attack, where Kirby has to hide in the shaded area, or take damage.

Red Canyon is the fifth level in Kirby's Dream Land 2 and belongs to the Rainbow Islands. As the name implies, the level is set in a dry red-colored canyonland area. The boss of this level is Mr. Shine & Mr. Bright. This level follows Iceberg and is followed by Cloudy Park.

Red Canyon features five standard stages in addition to the sixth boss stage. Almost without exception, these stages are filled with steep rocky terrain, perilous platforming (including crumbling footholds), plenty of bottomless pits and other hazards, cramped cavern passages, and auto-scrolling areas. Each Animal Friend gets a chance to shine at various points in the level, though Kirby may be better suited to traveling certain areas on his own, to squeeze through tight passages.

The Rainbow Drop can be found in a side chamber in Stage 5. To reach it, Kirby will need to navigate Rick along a tricky vertical auto-scroller with the appropriate ability in tow.
