Mach Attack[edit]

Mach Attack[Japanese title][1] also called Attack Up[2] is an item in the City Trial mode of Kirby Air Ride. It depicts a boxing glove with an arrow next to it, rising up. It spawns randomly in the city like most items but can also be found in green boxes. When driven into, Kirby and the Air Ride Machine he is on will start to flash orange, similar to the effect given if Kirby picked up a lot of Offense patches in a match and his attack power will increase, making all sources of attacking from Kirby do far more damage.
A Mach Attack will only last for around 20 seconds before wearing off. Additionally the effect will wear off if Kirby jumps off a machine or if his machine is destroyed, leaving the timer to wear off while Kirby is on foot.

Mach Guard[edit]

Mach Guard[Japanese title][1] is an item in Kirby Air Ride's City Trial mode. The item appears as a shield with an orange arrow rising up. The item can appear in random parts of the city and it can also be found in green boxes. When a Defense Up in driven into, Kirby and his Air Ride Machine will flash a dark blue, similar to when Kirby picks up a lot of Defense patches in a match and he will take less damage from hazards and enemy attacks.
Unlike patches, Mach Guard only lasts for a limited amount of time. The effects of the item will wear off if Kirby dismounts his machine, his machine gets destroyed or if around 20 seconds pass.

Mach Speed[Japanese title][1] is an item from the City Trial mode of Kirby Air Ride. It has a similar appearance to the Speed Up item, having a star with a big arrow to the left of it. Unlike Speed Up however, Mach Speed has a smaller arrow and a bigger star to match the appearance of Mach Attack and Mach Guard. When Mach Speed is picked up, Kirby and his Air Ride Machine will flash a light blue, similar to when he picks up a lot of Top Speed patches in a match. While this effect lasts Kirby's Air Ride Machine will temporarily increase in top speed.
The effects of Mach Speed will last for only around 20 seconds before it wears off. It will also wear off if Kirby is off a machine or if his machine is destroyed.
