Octopeas are small red octopus-like enemies with big round heads and tiny tentacles which are Capamari's children and appear in Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn during the second phase of the fight to defend their parent. Eight will appear at a time—two from each nook—who will then form into positions in pairs, then dash either upward or downward, hurting Kirby if they make contact. Octopea can be grabbed using the Yarn Whip at any point while it is on stage, and can be thrown back at Capamari to stun the boss and leave it vulnerable to attack.
