Remembering the time Kirby spent with it, the dog regains enough control to dive away from Kirby and into King Dedede's net, where it promptly detonates, destroying the boat and dumping King Dedede and Escargoon into the water. All Kirby recovers of his pet is its mechanical tail.
That night, Kirby looks out toward the ocean motionless. Tiff and Tuff watch from a distance and wonder if the dog really was out for Kirby. Gangu then shows up with a new robot dog which he made himself, intending to give it to Kirby, but he realizes that it can't replace Kirby's lost friend. Kirby then steps out somewhat into the water, seeing his robot pet as a constellation in the sky for a moment and crying out for it as the episode ends.
Differences between versions[edit]
- In the Japanese version, the logo for Night Mare Enterprises on the box and in the book Tiff references is slightly different in design.
- In the Japanese version, the scene where the Electronic Pet is scanning Kirby features English text, but several words are misspelled. In the international versions, this readout is replaced with nonsense number sequences instead.
- A second readout scene is also dramatically shortened in the international versions for this same reason.
- An additional scene exists in the Japanese version where Kirby is frolicking in a field of flowers with his Electronic Pet.
- The title of the book Tiff uses to find out the source of the box is removed in the international versions. In the Japanese version, it is titled "The Crest and The Mark".

- In the Japanese version, the scene where the Electronic Pet calls out to Kirby from the castle uses a loud shrill cry, rather than a series of barks.
