Kirby must go to Planet Skyhigh and reach the room with the Parasol Waddle Dee and Parasol Waddle Doo, entering from the door on the right. Kirby must then use either Copy's Analyze Beam to get Parasol from the Parasol Waddle Doo and hit it with the parasol's active hitbox or throw a bomb at it with the Bomb ability. In order for the glitch to work, the Waddle Doo must land on the middle platform after getting hit and losing its Parasol. Kirby needs to go to planet Mekkai, and spawn a helper. Once Kirby and the helper get to the room with the wind, go to the left of that room, and the helper should begin walking against the wind, then turn left and right at a speed comparable to the Waddle Doo involved in the above Hyper Waddle Doo glitch. The helper will then do a normal attack, slide back, walk forward, face left and right quickly, repeat. This may not work with every helper.

Wing zip
This glitch can only be performed in the Japanese version of the game. While using the Wing ability, if Kirby takes damage from a high-knockback source such as an enemy bomb or Gordo while in the process of canceling a Dive-Bomb attack, and stays airborne for long enough while in the hurt animation, he will suddenly gain tremendous upward speed, and be able to pass through solid objects like walls and ceilings. While moving upward in this state, Kirby can maintain it by using Feather Gun or stop it early by flapping his wings. This glitch is extremely useful for performing skips in tool-assisted speedruns. It can be performed in Peanut Plains and Mallow Castle in the Dyna Blade game mode, in Old Tower in The Great Cave Offensive, and in Hotbeat and Halfmoon in Milky Way Wishes.

Dyna Blade Battle Delayed Defeat
In Meta Knightmare Ultra, Meta Knight is capable of performing a variation of the Wing zip in Hotbeat. After Meta boosting upwards, Meta Knight must take damage, causing him to fall onto and into the otherwise solid lava. However, this version of the glitch has fewer practical uses.
This glitch can only be performed while fighting Dyna Blade in Dyna Blade and in Helper To Hero. To perform this glitch the player has to defeat Dyna Blade during her swoop attack. If done correctly Dyna Blade will finish her swoop attack even though her health bar has been depleted. After she finishes the attack, the regular defeat animation will play.

Listed below are the glitches in Kirby Super Star Ultra. Please read the Glitch Disclaimer Notes before attempting any of the glitches on this page.

List of glitches[edit]

Ability item teleportation[edit]

To do this glitch, Kirby must have a helper and a Copy Ability of his own and play in Dyna Blade.

Kirby must go to the fifth room of Cocoa Cave and enter the one-block-deep hole. Having the helper position itself properly to avoid transforming, Kirby should face a wall and turn his ability into an ability item. Upon making contact with the platform above the hole, the ability item will quickly move in the direction it was tossed.[1]

Hyper Waddle Doo glitch[edit]

To do this, Kirby must have either the Copy or Bomb Copy Abilities and play in Milky Way Wishes.

If done correctly, the now parasol-less Waddle Doo will start moving at much higher speeds than usual and will build up even more speed over time until it eventually falls through the middle of the room.[2]

Helper Phase glitch[edit]

To do this glitch, Kirby must have a helper and play in Milky Way Wishes.

This may not work with every helper.[3]

Meta boosting[edit]

In Meta Knightmare Ultra, if a helper is summoned while Meta Knight attacks, the attacks's animation is cancelled while preserving its momentum (horizontal or vertical, depending on the frame it is cancelled on). This allows Meta Knight to travel farther distances than he would normally be able to.[4]

Scarfy inhale[edit]

If Wing Kirby uses the Toss attack on a Scarfy and quickly gets rid of his Copy Ability, he is able to inhale the Scarfy while it's stunned, allowing him to get the Crash ability without using Copy.[5] This glitch is unchanged from Kirby Super Star.

Suplex crash glitch[edit]

While using the Suplex ability, if Kirby grabs the Bomber right before it falls into Chef Kawasaki's boss room in the Peanut Plains stage in Dyna Blade and then the player presses B after Kirby lands, the game will crash after the Bomber is defeated.

Wing zip[edit]

It can be performed in Peanut Plains and Mallow Castle in the Dyna Blade game mode, in Old Tower in The Great Cave Offensive, and in Hotbeat and Halfmoon in Milky Way Wishes.[6][7]

In Meta Knightmare Ultra, Meta Knight is capable of performing a variation of the Wing zip in Hotbeat. After Meta boosting upwards, Meta Knight must take damage, causing him to fall onto and into the otherwise solid lava. However, this version of the glitch has fewer practical uses.[4]
