Spark is a reoccurring Copy Ability in the Kirby series that is known alongside Fire and Ice as one of Kirby's most basic and common ability. It has similar properties to Plasma, another electric-based power. Spark is of the defensive type, like Freeze or Needle, which means Kirby will station himself in one position while executing the power as it surrounds his body and destroys enemies that make contact with the barrier. Usually, Kirby can not move while performing Spark. In Kirby: Canvas Curse, Spark was redesigned. Instead of simply covering a small area around him, a smaller area is covered, and line of electricity appears, hurting any enemy above Kirby. If Kirby keeps using Spark while in mid-air, he will hover. However, Spark returned to normal in Squeak Squad. The ability also reappears in Kirby's Return to Dream Land.
