In the anime series, Waddle Doo serves as the captain of the guard for [[Castle Dedede]], and commands the [[Waddle Dee]]s stationed there. Despite this, Waddle Doo is not directly related to the Waddle Dees, and does not even know how many there really are inhabiting the castle. Waddle Doo is depicted with a small sword and scabbard in this series, which is something he is never seen with in the games.
