As the minigame "Team Kirby Clash" in Planet Robobot, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe and its Switch port, Super Kirby Clash and the Kirby Fighters games are based on Super Smash Bros, the Team Kirby Clash games being most likely based on the Team Battle mode, the player cannot guard infinitely, as the shield breaks after a certain amount of time. Much like Super Smash Bros, the Kirby will be launched up then become dizzy after coming down and getting up, leaving them vulnerable to attacks from bosses in Team Kirby Clash Deluxe and Super Kirby Clash or attacks from enemy Kirbys in the Kirby Fighters games.
