Doctor Yabui comes off as stereotypically clinical, and has no issues telling people in a straight manner what would otherwise be sensitive and discrete information. This extends beyond physical diagnoses, often touching upon personality traits he observes in his patients. This particularly affects [[Professor Curio]] who, while comparable in peerage to Yabui, is much more emotionally vulnerable than him. Naturally, Doctor Yabui is quite intelligent - which makes his observations accurate if not sometimes hurtful - though he tends to take a hands-off approach when it comes to relationships with the other members of the cast, which results in him not taking a particularly active role in any of the episode plot-lines.
