A '''Dive Attack''' refers to the ability to attack an enemy by falling onto them from a sufficient distance.

Debuting in ''[[Kirby's Dream Land]]'', Kirby assumes a headlong falling position once he has fallen (while not puffed up) for long enough. Once in this position, he can then [[Damage|harm]] an enemy without taking damage himself if he lands on it, assuming that enemy is not invulnerable. This can also be used to nullify damage from certain projectiles, such as [[Waddle Doo]]'s [[Beam]] attack.

This move can be performed in nearly every main series ''Kirby'' game, though it has grown gradually less effective over the series timeline.
