The episode begins with a brief recap of eNeMeE Elementary and The School Scam by King Dedede to Escargoon at Castle Dedede. After a few snarky remarks from his right hand snail, King Dedede resolves to rebuild the Dedede Academy and this time enroll as a student to he can learn how to outsmart Kirby. Meanwhile, out in the countryside, a sudden rain storm interrupts another one of Tiff's impromptu lessons. As the group huddles under a tree, a stranger passes by who comments on their efforts. After pointing out that the rain is only a sun-shower, the stranger introduces himself as Mr. Chip; a teacher who is looking to work in Dream Land. Tiff tells him there is no school for him to go to, but shortly after the rain clears up, the bell from the Dedede Academy rings and gets the kids' attention. The group then walks over the hill and sees the school fully rebuilt, and everyone prepares to go back to school again. King Dedede and Escargoon address the assembled townsfolk, and tell them that instead of acting as Principal and Vice Principal, they are appointing those roles to Professor Curio and Mayor Len Blustergas respectively. Tiff then suggests that the newly-arrived Mr. Chip act as the teacher and - surprising everyone - King Dedede and Escargoon agree to learn under Mr. Chip as students. After some banter, Chef Kawasaki enrolls as a student as well.

Shortly thereafter, Mr. Chip's class begins. During the roll call, King Dedede and Escargoon immediately start bullying Kirby and trying to get him in trouble, but Mr. Chip ignores this. Later on, as Dedede continues being a nuisance, Mr. Chip asks him to come up to the board and write his initials. Dedede agrees to this, but ends up messing it up, drawing an "O" instead of a "D" like Mr. Chip showed him. Next, Mr. Chip introduces some basic arithmetic problems, and Dedede and Escargoon try to bully Kirby again, but this time, Tiff sees what Escargoon is doing and tackles him. Mr. Chip breaks up the fight and assures Tiff that he saw what Escargoon was doing, prompting Dedede and Escargoon to try and taunt her instead. From there, Mr. Chip tries to host a science demonstration involving light, but King Dedede and Escargoon continue being disruptive. King Dedede then tosses his flashlight at Mr. Chip which hits him right in the face, which prompts a violent response from Tiff and Tuff.
