'''Whispy Woods''' (known in shorthand as '''Whispy''') is an anthropomorphic tree-like entity, having become one of the most iconic characters appearing in the [[Kirby (series)|''Kirby'' series]]. Starting with ''[[Kirby's Dream Land]]'', the first game in said series, he appears in a majority of titles, as well as the anime, ''[[Kirby: Right Back at Ya!]]''. In the games in which he appears, Whispy is usually faced as a [[Boss]], often being the first one encountered. As such, he is easily recognizable as part of the ''Kirby'' series, even to those outside of the fandom. Whispy Woods is extremely ubiquitous throughout the ''Kirby'' series, appearing in nearly every title as a [[Boss]] or [[Mid-Boss]]. Whispy Woods seems to be able to move due to his being featured in different locations, a fact which is confirmed in [[Kirby's Dream Land 3]]. Even in games where he does not explicitly appear, another character which greatly resembles him (such as [[King Golem]], [[Flowery Woods]], or [[Clanky Woods]]) usually appears in his place.
