Plasma Wisp is a floating spectral enemy from the Kirby series. It is essentially a ball of flaming plasma with a pair of beady eyes and two floating, gloved hands. It is usually green in hue, except as an enemy in Kirby Super Star and its remake, where it is blue instead. Plasma Wisp's main attack strategy is to hover at a distance from Kirby and fire electric blasts at him. It can be inhaled and swallowed for the Plasma Copy Ability.

The Plasma Wisp is a recurring enemy, found in Kirby Super Star and its remake, Kirby Super Star Ultra. When portrayed as a foe, its appearance is that of a floating, blue flame with yellow hand-like appendages, and small, round, black eyes. However, when portrayed as a helper, it appears a greenish hue, except in Helper to Hero, as it appears blue.

Game appearances
Plasma Wisp hovers around an unfixed area, projecting blasts of energy towards Kirby. It uses stronger attacks if Kirby is farther away. In its helper form, it possesses all the abilities of Plasma Kirby. When Kirby swallows it, or scans it with the Copy ability, he receives the Plasma ability.

Kirby Super Star / Kirby Super Star Ultra
Plasma Wisp makes its debut appearance in Kirby Super Star and also appears in Kirby Super Star Ultra.

Notably, Plasma Wisp differs from other helpers in that it can hover in the air instead of using Infinity Jumps, similar to NESP and Vividria from Kirby Star Allies. It is the only helper capable of doing so in Kirby Super Star and its remake.

Plasma Wisp makes its first 3D appearance in this game. It does not do much aside from floating about in a fixed area on race courses or in Kirby Melee. If swallowed by Kirby, he is granted the Plasma ability.

*At the end of the It's Kirby Time book Thank You, Elline can be seen giving Plasma Wisp a Plasma Ability Hat. This could be a reference to Plasma Wisp being the only Helper from Kirby Super Star and its remake to not reprise his role in Kirby Star Allies.
