Maxim Tomatoes are commonly seen items in the Kirby series, although rather uncommonly found in games. The Maxim Tomato is a tomato-like food that grants Kirby a very large health meter refill.[1][2][3] This item is usually found in easily missed hiding places, or areas that can only be reached with certain copy abilities; much more so in difficult levels. Often end level challenges will reward Kirby with a Maxim Tomato.
The term maxim is obviously a shortened form of maximum. Even though, there are other uses of the word, such as a synonym for the word axiom, both of which are loosely defined as "statements which are obviously true"[4]
