A Flappy is a common enemy recurring throughout the Kirby series. Its basic appearance is that of an unusual, multicolored, half-bird half-dragon-like creature, that first appeared in Kirby Air Ride. Flappies do not attack Kirby directly, but do follow him wherever he goes, and can harm Kirby, if the two come in contact. During Kirby Air Ride, Flappies normally appear in random places, usually in race courses; preferably Fantasy Meadows. Ingesting one of them grants Kirby the Wing Copy Ability.
