Superspicy Curry, formerly known as Spicy Food[1], is an item that appears in Kirby's Dream Land. When collected, it allows Kirby to spew a continuous stream of fire from his mouth as he runs, damaging enemies in the process. In effect, it is similar to the Fire or Burning Copy Abilities that would appear later in the series. As such, it has not made any notable reappearances in the main series since its debut.
Game appearances
Kirby's Dream Land
Spicy Food first appears in Kirby's Dream Land. It appears in various locations, starting in Castle Lololo. It is useful for clearing out large areas of enemies quickly. If Kirby enters a body of water after consuming the curry, its effects will immediately be extinguished, returning Kirby to normal.
Kirby's Pinball Land
Spicy Food makes an appearance in the bonus game in Kracko Land. Here, it does not convey any special effects, though it is worth 2000 points when Kirby eats it.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe
Superspicy Curry does not appear directly in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, but it does appear as one of the keychains in the game, depicted as its sprite from Kirby's Dream Land.
Kirby Battle Royale
In Kirby Battle Royale, Superspicy Curry takes the form of a Boost Orb that can be tapped to activate during a battle, allowing the user to blow flames for 10 seconds while running uncontrollably.
Kirby's Dream Buffet
Superspicy Curry does not appear directly in Kirby's Dream Buffet, but it does appear as one of the Character Treats in the game, depicted as its sprite from Kirby's Dream Land.
Super Smash Bros. series
Starting with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and appearing again in later installments, Superspicy Curry is one of the items that can appear. Collecting it causes the fighter to continuously spew fireballs from their mouths, allowing them to chain the fire with their normal attacks. While spewing fire, the fighter is unable to move slowly, and adopts a humorous painful animation when not moving.

Superspicy Curry | GB Kirby's Dream Land (08/1992) | Hope you're a fan of spicy food, because this curry will set your mouth on fire! I'm not kidding—whoever eats this will actually shoot balls of fire from his or her mouth, hurting those who gets too close. Water doesn't help with spiciness, so this works underwater too! Too bad there's no milk weapon... | You think you know spicy curries? Think again! One taste of this one and your mouth will literally be on fire. Not even diving into water will help! Your opponents might laugh, but they'll soon stop when you start breathing fire in their direction, now won't they? |

Kirby: Right Back at Ya!
“ | It's done. This dish is so hot...it may burn through the pot! I call it Toxic Atomic Curry! When they get a taste of this, I'll be the hottest chef in town! *laughs maniacally* | ” | — Chef Kawasaki in A Spice Odyssey |
Superspicy Curry appears in the Kirby: Right Back at Ya! episode A Spice Odyssey, here named Toxic Atomic Curry. Here, it was created by the infamous Chef Kawasaki while engaged in a spice war with a rival restaurant run by the monster Monsieur Goan. The curry in question is the pinnacle of spiciness, being the only dish spicy enough to overwhelm Kirby, and allowing him to defeat the monster running the other restaurant, albeit painfully.
At the end of the episode, the Toxic Atomic Curry is used to punish King Dedede and Escargoon for trying to get Kirby eaten. They initially believe themselves able to handle the dish, but are reduced to piles of ash after a single bite.
