|An evil entity which often takes the form of a circular cloud of black energy with a single large eye and sometimes frills on its sides. Its main characteristic is its ability to engulf worlds and possess their inhabitants. Kirby often has to battle possessed characters in order to free them from Dark Matter's grasp. To actually drive off Dark Matter, Kirby often needs to use a special weapon or ability to pierce its core and defeat it from within.
