|In this volume, Arena Waddle Dee doesn't show up, since he knows that he is already dreamy and doesn't need any gears. The only thing that can match Arena Waddle Dee's amount of dreaminess is chocolate. Fortunately, this novel has chocolate, which summons Arena Waddle Dee to a match. Arena Waddle Dee, with his arena skills, outsmarts the chocolate and eats it. Now Arena Waddle Dee's dreaminess have multiplied. He comes up with amazing ideas like making a big and flashy sign, making all the chairs and tables bounce and important of all, meat ice cream. Since he is too good at planning cafés, when the cooking competition is announced, the two rival cafés try to convince him to be at their side. [[Meta Knight (novel character)|Meta Knight]] decides that Arena Waddle Dee would be an unfair advantage, so he instead offers him to be a co-judge with him. Meta Knight and Arena Waddle Dee call the competition a tie, and Arena Waddle Dee takes a nap. After he wakes up, [[Chef Kawasaki (novel character)|Chef Kawasaki]] shows he an omurice made by his image. Just look at it, it is so precious.

|''[[Kirby Fighters: The Destined Rivals!!]]''
|[[File:V19 Illustration 15.png|100px]]
|Protagonist
|In this volume, the original Waddle Dee has had enough. He builds a fighting tower called the "Buddy Fighters Tower", and challenges Arena Waddle Dee to a duel, a duel for his his former buddy, Kirby. He tells Arena Waddle Dee that they would fight to the death, or until Kirby decides who is his real buddy. The destined rivals fight, spear against spear, and they both aren't ready to give up. The conflict gets Kirby attention, who misheard the name "Buddy Fighters Tower" as "Buddy Party Tower", and invited himself into the party. When the Waddle Dees see him, they both claim to be the real Waddle Dee. Seeing how they fight, Kirby notices that Arena Waddle Dee is the clear victor. However, he remembers that Waddle Dee has a gentle nature, and this dramatic duel doesn't sound like Waddle Dee at all. Kirby stops the fight and asks the Waddle Dees to tell the truth. Seeing Kirby's upset eyes, Arena Waddle Dee confesses to everything and tells that he just wanted to be friends with Kirby. He gives the bandana to the original Waddle Dee and tells him that he is a worthy warrior. Kirby forgives him and Arena Waddle Dee tells them that another reality needs him. He ascends to the sky and disappears, never to be mentioned again.
