"VS. Dangerous Beast" is a ferocious theme in the key of G minor, a fast, 6/8 time signature and in 150 BPM. It starts off with low brass D notes, rising in an augmented triad chord progression with the strings and woodwinds joining in as the main melody starts. The trumpets play intervals of major and minor seventh chords that make up the beginning of the song. The clarinet rises up and down in major sixth chords while the brass instruments back up. The melody continues with a tonal progression by the strings between D♭ and F as the marimba and woodwind carry out glissando 8th notes. The melody is again performed by the trumpets and the clarinet again in rising major sixths. Following afterwards, the percussion intensifies as the progressions repeat themselves. The melody then hits a rising point as the trumpets create a major ninth descending sequence for the song to transpose to G-sharp minor. Pizzacato strings, a glockenspiel and intense percussion continue the melody. As the strings develop major sixths in G minor, they repeat the phrase descending to F, then back to G-sharp. Not long after that, more strings join in to settle the climax of the piece. A short drum solo takes place with a faint harp at the end. As the song finally transitions back to its original key, the trumpet and clarinet do one more recital of the melody's first section as the track reaches its loop point.
