In the opening scene, he is seen kidnapping King Dedede, mistaking him for the "Hero of Dream Land". He is seen in the opening of every boss fight from levels 1-5, running from Kirby and making bosses for him to fight using what appears to be magic, such as making Flowery Woods out of a flower, and making Kracko out of a Cloud.
