Coo overshoots, causing Gooey to collide with the wall, then fall and squish the flower. ChuChu gets angry at the others, who are watching in dismay as Gooey licks ChuChu, which then results in her punching Gooey very hard into the wall. After this, ChuChu blushes as the others stare at her in fear.

Sand Canyon is largely a desert-themed land, with little in the way of vegetation or water. Many areas have open skies, making [[Coo]] handy to have around. As Kirby travels through this area, he will pass by rocky crags in stage 1, through a wasteland of mixed rock and sand in stage 2, through a volcanic region in stage 3, across the twilit dunes and through a submerged tunnel in stage 4, through a hollow cave structure in stage 5, and into a strange black pyramid in stage 6. The hazards present in each stage are varied and difficult to predict.
