N-Z is an enemy which can be found only in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. N-Zs take the place of Waddle Dees in this game. They are completely defenseless, and may only harm Kirby if he runs into one. They are also neutral, as they will not give Kirby any abilities if sucked into his mouth.
Appearance
It should be noted that N-Z is the first enemy Kirby encounters in Crystal Shards, first appearing on Pop Star's first stage. Relatively similar to Kirby, they sport a black coat, with white shoes and have pointed ears which are partly folded behind their head. N-Z could be considered semi-common, because it appears on three Stars out of the seven in total. Oddly enough, it appears on the final part of stage three on Ripple Star, where it drops out of a cloud of Dark Matter located on the ceiling, and on Dark Star as the only enemy besides Zero Two. Due to this, it is heavily implied that N-Z is made out of Dark Matter, as it resides in a place where only Dark Matter exists. N-Z also appears on an Enemy Info Card, with the number of ten.
