Emp is a penguin enemy from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It is first encountered in Stage 1 of Aqua Star, and yields the Ice ability when swallowed.
When Emp spots Kirby, it will attempt to slide away on its belly, but it can only slide so far.
Given the animal that Emps are based on, it is likely that their name comes from a species of penguin known as Emperor Penguins.
