Dales are enemies that appear exclusively in Kirby Air Ride. They are found in dark areas of courses and they light up the areas by their luminescent glow. When defeated by methods other than eating them, Dales leave behind glowing orbs of light that continue to light the area until it descends and disappears. Dales don't intend to attack Kirby, but their bodies and the light they leave behind damages Kirby when touched. Dales don't wield any ability in particular when inhaled.
Dales make cameo appearances in later games. In Kirby Canvas Curse, Paint Roller draws a picture of them in Paint Panic. It was also confirmed to appear in Kirby GCN, but Kirby GCN was soon cancelled.
