A Balloon Bomber is an enemy that debuted in the game, Kirby Air Ride. Balloon Bombers tend to rather fly along the course on its own, rather than going after Kirby, but it damages Kirby if Kirby touches it. When Kirby defeats it by spin-attacking, the Balloon Bomber flies off and explodes, with no danger. When inhaled, the Balloon Bomber gives Kirby the Bomb ability.
Balloon Bombers make several cameos in later games, such as being a spectator and a drawing in a card in Kirby Super Star Ultra, one of Paint Roller's drawings in Kirby Canvas Curse.
