WiKirby talk:Image Requests

- Sprites and images with a background that's not part of the image itself (e.g. plain white or a background texture from a manual) should always be made transparent. For artwork, image alphas are typically used instead of plain transparency; getting those right is indeed difficult, and that's presumably why nobody has made the requested ones transparent yet, but transparency should still be added to them.--Vellidragon 17:30, 27 May 2012 (CDT)
- I kinda disagree with the fact that the artwork has to be transparent. Most of the time, when you remove the white background from an image that's really not supposed to be transparent, it looks ugly, especially against a black background. That's why in MarioWiki, a rule is established that images with poor transparency are instantly reverted to those with a white background. I can agree that making sprites transparent should stay because that's very simple to do and it looks great.
- That's what image alphas are for. And we're not MarioWiki.--Vellidragon 16:42, 30 June 2012 (CDT)
