Question

How many edits, and for how long do you have to be on the WiKirby to become an Autoconfirmed user??? Iggy Koopa Jr 04:52, 3 May 2013 (CDT)

Help:Group Rights states that "A newly registered user automatically becomes autoconfirmed after having made 200 edits and having been a member for at least 30 days", but I don't believe this is true as 200 strikes me as too large a number. According to Help talk:Group Rights, Adam may have lowered it to around 100, but I have no idea whether he did as he seems to not have (publicly) responded to the issue and has abandoned the site by now as far as I can tell, leaving no one with any way of accessing the wiki software's files. Sorry that the help isn't clear, I would adjust it if I knew what the value is.--Vellidragon 11:06, 3 May 2013 (CDT)
OK, OK, from other wiki experience, I know that it varies between which wiki, as for Ex. Mario Wiki needs 10 edits+4days of active, but Zelda wiki requires 100 edits. I asked that question because I wanted to upload a file, but I couln't see how. Iggy Koopa Jr 12:31, 3 May 2013 (CDT)
The "Upload File" link is near the bottom of the page while logged in, and I believe that anyone can upload files (Special:ListGroupRights only lists editing semi-protected pages as an autoconfirmed user privilege, which actually applies to very few if any pages on the wiki). Help:Images has some help on this stuff, I believe, if you need any. If you're going to upload something though, please make sure you have permission to do so; I'm just bringing this up because we have been having a lot of problems with files' being stolen from other sites, like the Kirby Wikia.--Vellidragon 14:53, 3 May 2013 (CDT)
