AutoWikiBrowser, or AWB for short, is a semi-automated tool for MediaWiki. It makes repetitious editing easier to do. One of the common uses of AWB is text replacement.

Binaries for Windows Vista and newer are available at its SourceForge project page. If you're on GNU/Linux, you will have to use Wine. For macOS users, you can also use Wine, though you will need Homebrew, and it's probably easier if you use a virtual machine instead. Either way, see this guide if you're on GNU/Linux or macOS.

You can also use the Javascript Wiki Browser (JWB), which should work on all platforms which have a modern browser. It's more limited though compared to real AWB.

Both AWB and JWB require your username to be on the AWB check page in order to work. So you will have to add yourself to that check page before using either of these tools. Currently anyone can edit the check page, but this can change anytime.

If you have a task which requires tons of edits to perform on AWB, consider applying for the bot flag, or slowing down your edit rate by adding a delay.

The official documentation for AWB can be found at its English Wikipedia page.
