Regarding editing disputes[edit]

Greetings, Chaen05. I know you are new here, so let me quickly run down the proper procedure for what you should do if an edit you make is reverted and you want to dispute it. We have a page that details the proper procedure you should take as an editor, rather than trying to reassert the edit, which you can find here: WiKirby:Dispute policy.

Basically, at this point, instead of just trying to add the edit again, you need to head to the talk page and argue your case. Then it can be reviewed and decided what needs to be changed if anything. If you keep just trying to reassert your original edit after it is rejected, this will signal that you aren't listening to wiki staff, and you will eventually be blocked. Alternatively, you could head onto our Discord server and talk about the edit there.

Just to reiterate, you aren't in trouble yet. Just keep this in mind going forward. --Samwell (talk) 14:15, 6 March 2022 (UTC)

To add on a bit further, in this case your argument is correct: we've seen in other parts of the game that Kirby's eyes aren't just iridescent, but reflect the general color of their surroundings. That being the case, you should take the stance of "repair, don't remove". If information is inaccurate, you shouldn't delete it entirely, but instead amend it to make sure the information is correct. That way, you don't have to worry about making a dispute on the talk page, since your edit still aligns with the previous information while being more accurate. I went ahead and added that in for you, but keep this rule of thumb in mind for next time, too. StarPunch (talk) 18:09, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
