Regarding shared text descriptions between WiKirby and Kirby FANDOM

Greetings, AnnieCat07. I'm writing this to you because it was pointed out to me that you were making edits to the Mrs. Parfaitski page that were nearly identical in wording to the same descriptions on her page on Kirby FANDOM. At first, I had assumed that you were plagiarizing the FANDOM, until it was pointed out to me that you were the one who'd written that same description over there a few years ago.

Even so, I would really appreciate it if you would not simply copy and paste the same descriptions and text blocks here that you used there. I don't want people getting the impression that WiKirby simply takes its content from Kirby FANDOM, and taking text in particular could be seen as a violation of copyright law if the authorship isn't clear, which it often isn't on wikis. Regarding file uploads

Greetings, AnnieCat07. I noticed you tried to upload a file recently, concerning the cover of a new Kirby novel. However, you did not fill in any of the parameters in the Aboutfile template when doing so, particularly leaving the source blank. WiKirby cannot allow any more files without sources to be uploaded to the wiki, so I deleted the file. You can reupload it, but you need to include a proper source. Regarding page creation

Hey there AnnieCat07. I noticed you created the page of the third Kirby novel, but as a stub with basically no information. I went ahead and deleted it because on WiKirby we refrain from creating pages as stubs, and pages should not be created just for the sake of existing. I recommend reading over our stub policy and aricle creating policy to better understand. Finally, MetaDragon has been working on the page you created for a while, and she will have it created with all information sometime in the future. If you want to help with novel pages I recommend reaching out to her to see how you can help, just so that you don't do repeated work. Hey! Just wanted to inform you, that under similar reasoning, empty sections you just recently added to many pages aren't allowed either. Also, DeepFriedCabbage is working on completing the coverage of said novel, so as Gigi said above, communicating with others about you plans will certainly be helpful. Hope you have a nice day! Regarding page renames

Hello. I saw you moved Chao to Chao & Goku without any previous discussion with other editors. That is not advisiable at all, mostly in a page like that that didn't get any new names from recent media. I highly recommend you read over our article manipulation policy for a better understanding, but in short, before doing big changes to articles, it's always good to discuss them with other editors to see if they agree or disagree. Regarding sourcing

Hello! I noticed that you uploaded higher quality versions of File:Lawson_30th_Campaign_alarm_clock.jpg and some other images. Please keep in mind that you also need to update the source of a file when replacing a file with a higher quality version, otherwise the source will continue to link to the lower quality version. A warning

Hello AnnieCat07. You have been editing WiKirby for a while now, and we all appreciate your your contributions. However, despite all that, as you can see in previous messages in your talk page, it appears that you have some difficulties following wiki policies. The biggest problem staff has noticed is regarding file sourcing: you often do not properly source your files. And just today, you added two Good badges to pages without notice, and then even went to nominate one of the pages you did that for featurement right after. You are simply not following various policies across the wiki and, at this point, you should know them. This is why we had no choice but to give you an official warning regarding your behavior in general. Staff and other editors see your edits, and we see when you do not follow policies or try to avoid them. Please, do not do that. Policies exist for a reason, and that is to keep order and high standards for the wiki. Myself and other staff members are always around to clarify policies, and you can even propose changes for some if you so wish. But, please, I just ask you to communicate with us, and also listen. Source for Cappy Town names in other languages

Hey there! I noticed that you added info to the “names in other languages” section of Cappy Town a few months back. Might I ask how you found these names? I’m curious about the Spanish name in particular, since “Pueblo Cappy” seems to contradict the title of the first episode, “Kirby llega a Cappylandia”. • Oh hi! I remember adding those missing names a while back, and I remember getting them from the different languages Kirby wikis from Fandom since I was pretty sure they weren't gonna list false names for Cappy Town there. AnnieCat07 (talk) 23:11, 3 December 2023 (UTC)

Thank you. In general, we prefer not to take information directly from the Kirby FANDOM, and instead track it down to a more official or reliable source. That way, we can verify that it really did come from Nintendo and isn’t just a term commonly used by fans. Even if the information is accurate, it’s always better to be sure.
