Providing sources

Hi! I want to thank you for adding some info to the wiki, but remember when uploading a file that you need to provide its source in the "source=" category. Otherwise, it gets sorted into Category:Files lacking sources, which is set to be deleted by the end of the year. Thanks! StarPunch (talk) 13:25, 17 April 2022 (UTC)

I'd like to add that "YouTube" is not a valid source for files. At the very least, a direct link to the video in question is needed for such things. --Samwell (talk) 17:07, 17 April 2022 (UTC)

I think the confusion came from the fact we explicitly said to use "youtube" on YouTube-sourced files on the {{Aboutfile}} page, so I've changed it. "youtube" is to be used on older files that we don't know which video they are from. Don't use it when you upload new files, the video should always be linked instead.
