"The King and the Sun" is a musical theme in the Kirby series composed by Jun Ishikawa and Dan Miyakawa. The track was first used in Kirby Super Star Ultra, serving as the ending musical theme of Revenge of the King which plays during the credits sequence. It has since been heard only once more in the series, not always being associated with King Dedede.

I'm not as good at this part of music as I am with other parts--MetaKirbo 06:51, 14 April 2023 (UTC).

The King and the Sun sounds very similar to that of My Friend and the Sunset, except the key is A mino

Video Game appearances[edit]

Kirby Super Star Ultra[edit]

In the Kirby Super Star Ultra game Revenge of the King, this theme plays during the ending Theater movie of the same name. Masked Dedede is defeated and the King can be seen sulking with his Waddle Dees trailing behind, one of which being Bandana Waddle Dee.

Kirby Fighters 2[edit]

The theme returns in Kirby Fighters 2 also serving as an ending credits theme for the final chapter of Story Mode: The Destined Rivals, though this time an extended remix of this theme can be heard, mixing in the main theme of the game.
