Name[edit]

Someone changed a link in the Kirby's Dream Land 2 article from Pengy to Master Pengy. Has the name been reverted from Pengy back to Master Pengy in recent games? They're Pengy in Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, but I haven't really played any games after that one. I also have no idea where the "Pengi" spelling comes from (besides the Kirby Wikia, which doesn't source it and claims that "Pengy" was a misspelling although it's clearly used in-game).--Vellidragon 10:33, 2 November 2010 (CDT)

I checked this today too and saw Pengy in K&tAM. I suppose we need to source all spellings, and list them in the article's opening statement. But more importantly, should we go with the article names matching the first official spellings with a source behind them, latest, or most used/best known? Other wikis tend to go with the latest name, which I suppose makes sense as it's usually the one most likely to be found in contemporary material, as well as future game instalments. Other names can always redirect to the article.--Vellidragon 09:35, 10 November 2010 (CST)
Sounds good, the only drawback would be having to move pages around when spellings change but it's rarely done. It also sounds like a policy/quality standards adjustment; which I'm fine with if you are willing to move the ones you know of. Axiomist (talk) 04:46, 11 November 2010 (CST)
Old, but Pengy is definitely the actual game spelling, with Pengi only used in the unofficial anime subtitles as far as I know. AdieuLain (talk) 20:45, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
