Name[edit]

Where did the name "Yogurt Yard" come from? I can't find it anywhere in the in-game text or soundtracks. Superbound (talk) 13:38, 10 September 2021 (UTC)

I am not the one who named this page, but I couldn't find that name anywhere either. Probably the one who named it like this did it because the theme that plays on the intro of a stage on Kirby's Adventure is usually named the same way as the stage itself. For example, the theme that plays on the intro of Vegetable Valley was called "Plains Stage" before, but and the Rainbow Curse calls it "Vegetable Valley" now. The same thing with Ice Cream Island, Butter Building and Rainbow Resort.
Though, and the Rainbow Curse calls this theme "Mountain Stage" instead of Yogurt Yard, so if that is the most recent (and only) official name that we have of this theme, maybe we should go with Mountain Stage instead. Still I think that it would be good if we state on the article that "this is the main theme of Yogurt Yard" or something like that. -Zolerian (talk | contribs) 14:42, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
This case is complicated, because "Yogurt Yard" isn't an official name, but more derived from the other level themes from Adventure. All of them have been renamed later on officially to their respective level names (like Ice Cream Island and Rainbow Resort), so it looks like that's why it was named here as such. Even the Japanese Kirby wiki names this track "Yogurt Yard" in their wiki.
However, these renames seem to be mostly from English sources, with Japanese sources alternating between the "X Stage" names and the level names. For example, in Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition Compilation Soundtrack, all the Adventure tracks were named "X Stage" in Japanese, but when translated to English they used the level names. Then ported tracks from Nightmare in Dream Land in Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack were named after the levels in Japanese, instead of "X Stage".
We could go to rename it to "Mountain Stage", as arguably it could had been renamed to "Yogurt Yard" in Rainbow Curse in English but wasn't (and in that game in Japanese, tracks like "Rainbow Resort" are also called that in Japanese, instead of "X Stage", while this track is still called "Mountain Stage" there). However that will break the pattern of all other track names, and leave only Yogurt Yard without a theme named after that. So I'm mixed. - Gigi (talkedits) 15:28, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
Agree. Sincerely, I think that leaving the article as it is wouldn't be the best thing as there isn't a source which says that the track is called "Yogurt Yard", but renaming the article to "Mountain Stage" wouldn't be so good either by what you said in the end. I vote on leaving it as Yogurt Yard but stating that "it has never been officially referred as such", and saying that "the name is derived" or something on the line. -Zolerian (talk | contribs) 16:11, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
I'd be fine with that, too. Our current name is unofficial, but consistent with other official sources we've been given. StarPunch (talk) 19:30, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
I'm also leaning more on keeping this as-is for the above reasons. -- Jellytost (talk) 02:52, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

Move to "Mountain Stage"[edit]

I did mention earlier that it'd be fine to leave the article's name as "Yogurt Yard", but if we're to keep this as a "Good" article, we'd want to use an official name, and "Mountain Stage" is the only official name for this track. Otherwise, we'd have to un-good this article, and I wouldn't want that. I don't think using "Mountain Stage" would be too much of a problem consistency-wise, since we do also have Forest Stage and Underground Stage, and the navbox uses the "stage"-based names anyway. StarPunch (talk) 18:21, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

Using an offical name that's also consistient with most of the regular themes in the game seems like a no-brainer to me. Support. ---PinkYoshiFan 14:29, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
I'm all for this move. If there are no objections, I'll carry it out later this week. --Samwell (talk) 06:33, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
Also supporting this move. On another note, there should have been put clarification why conjectural name was used instead of official name. Superbound (talk) 10:42, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
Yeah, thinking about it a bit more, this name should definitely take priority. Using it probably won't cause any trouble. -- Jellytost (talk) 04:26, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
"Mountain Stage" is an official name, "Yogurt Yard" is not, thus, "Mountain Stage" should be the name of this page. -Zolerian (talk | contribs) 07:48, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
Alright, the move is complete. --Samwell (talk) 21:26, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
